An Insight into Mammut World’s Environmental Sustainability Initiatives
2024-12-28Mammut World has long been committed to developing and improving quality, while also meeting the needs of its valued customers. With a focus on innovation and creativity, the company has consistently strived to leverage cutting-edge technologies in pursuit of its goal of being the best. One of the key factors in maintaining quality is the paint coating, which, in addition to enhancing the shine and appearance, plays a crucial role in the durability and longevity of products.
Therefore, Mammut World, relying on the organizational policy of the Mammut Group, has taken a significant and unique step in the field of trailer product painting, moving toward becoming the best and further enhancing customer satisfaction.
Electrodeposition (ED) coating is one of the most advanced coating methods in the industry, used to create a uniform and durable layer of paint or coating on metal surfaces.
This process is based on an electrochemical principle, where the metal part is placed as an electrode in a tank containing an aqueous solution of suspended paint or coating. By applying an electric current, the paint particles are attracted to the surface of the part and are deposited uniformly. This method is widely used in the automotive, household appliances, and industrial equipment industries due to its precise control over coating thickness, material savings, and ability to cover hard-to-reach areas.
One of the key advantages of the ED method is the creation of a highly adhesive coating that is resistant to corrosion and environmental factors. These coatings are often used as a base layer (primer) for final painting, as they provide excellent resistance to moisture and harsh weather conditions. Additionally, this process is environmentally friendly, as it minimizes material waste and pollutant emissions. The flexibility in adjusting electrical and chemical parameters in the ED method allows for the production of coatings with diverse characteristics such as thickness, hardness, and chemical resistance.
We are proud to announce the opening of the largest and most advanced trailer painting hall in Iran, equipped with ED technology, covering an area of over 6,600 square meters, by the successful Mammut World.
Advantages of ED Coating Compared to Traditional Methods:
- ED coating is environmentally friendly
- Uniform coating application with consistent thickness
- Coating of hard-to-reach areas and spots
- Elimination of human error due to automation
- Increased adhesion
- Greater resistance to rust and corrosion
This technology has brought a significant leap in the quality of the trailer products’ coating at Mammut World, increasing the durability of the paint by up to twice as much.
